Prepare fruit
apples, peaches,
sprinkle with sugar,
also with cinnamon or nutmeg if apples are used.
Place fruit in baking-dish to within one inch of the top.
CRUST Ingredients | |
1 cup flour, | 1 salt spoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking powder | , 2 tablespoons butter |
⅓ cup milk |
Method
Roll the crust to fit the baking-dish, keeping it ½ inch thick and place over the fruit.
Press edges of the crust to the rim of the dish and make a small opening in the crust near the center.
Bake in a moderate oven 30 minutes.
